Description

He looked out of the window and saw the lightning all around, something he had never seen before. And he was sure the gods saw it too.

Actually I've drawn something like this years ago, it's connected to one of my many many old stories. This story was called Ukkosmyrskyn tytär (Daughter of Thunderstorm) and it's about a girl who was born during the mightiest thunderstorm ever seen. The problem was that they lived in place so north that there were rarely storms like that (few in hundred years maybe). So people believed that the children who were born during those storms were chosen by gods, which wasn't good at all, more like a curse. It was known that the gods will use them to fulfill their selfish and many times destructive desires.
... And that's why the parents of this girl will abandon her and that's how the story begins.

Oh dear, it's the last day of 365-DaysOfDoodles 's 7 Days Drawing Challenge! D:
Day 7: "Draw the humanized form of something"... So I drew a thunderstorm. I love them! I might draw her in the future too...

This whole challenge was really fun, I'm so happy that I decided to join in! (:

Congratulations on completing the challenge : ) !
maybe some next time we could take a challenge on together D: !
I absoluteeelyy love them, you never know what will be next. My work is bit more predictable and less free in styles.

And wow! You really know the all kind of finnish old tales! I must admit, i don't many native tales, neither for finnish nor for russian ones ^^. Really too bad they'd think that babies born on thunderstorms were cursed, i for one, think that's super mystical and awesome! Altough, probably not the best time to give birth...

A pretty decent picture overall, i think it tells the story. but man i wouldn't live in the middle of almost an open field !
